MATCH REPORT | VCF Mestalla LOSES OUT TO Fulham FC (3-2)
Matchday 1 of the Premier League International Cup
The Valencia CF reserve team is scheduled to play 9 preparation matches ahead of the start of the competition.
VCF Mestalla began their pre-season this Monday and have already started training on the pitch to prepare for the official competition in Group III of Segunda Federación, which begins on the weekend of September 6–7.
The team, led by Miguel Ángel Angulo, will go through eight weeks of preparation, during which they will play 9 friendly matches to reach optimal condition for their league debut against CD Alcoyano. VCF Mestalla’s list of pre-season opponents is very diverse, including both international rivals and national teams from different divisions, some of them also reserve sides.
The first scheduled match will take place next Monday, 14 July, against Johor FC from Malaysia in La Nucía (19:00 CEST). After that, Nàstic de Tarragona will visit the Ciudad Deportiva (27 July), followed by CD Castellón B (1 August) and Neom SC from Saudi Arabia (8 August). The Valencianistas will face Real Madrid Castilla (13 August) and Villarreal CF B (16 August) away, before hosting another reserve side, RZ Deportivo Aragón (20 August). UB Conquense (23 August) and Yeclano Deportivo (30 August) will be the last two teams to test the development of the VCF Academy players in this intense pre-season.
